![]() For all I know, this should even work in a Hackintosh (not tested). In both cases the driver support is very good right now, current builds of CentOS7+8 (and surely Debian/Ubuntu variants, although I didn't test them) recognize PCIe based Aquantia NICs right from the start. I am mostly using it on Intel NUCs and with Linux (CentOS7+8), but sometimes with Windows 10 as well. The TH-S3EA is based on the Aquantia AQC-107 now owned by Marvell. There are at least two different USB3 Sabrent variants based on two distinct chipsets (RealTek for the 2.5GBit, Aquantia AQC-111C for the 5Gbit), which are a different story entirely in terms of driver support. This review is specifically on the Sabrent TH-S3EA, one of two Thunderbolt 3 Ethernet NIC variants that Sabrent sells. ![]() Please note that Amazon tends to thrown the different Sabrent Ethernet NICs into the same pot, even if they are very different devices. ![]()
